Inflorescence: Cymose.
Fruits: Capsules, berries, drupes.
Habit: Herbs and shrubs, trees in the tropics. Some epiphytes & myrmecophytes (ant plants).
Leaves. Simple, opposite or whorled, entire. With INTERPETIOLAR STIPULES.
