COURSE DESRIPTION

303I-3 Evolution and Society. (University Core Curriculum) An introduction to the basics of biological
evolution and the effect of biological evolution on society. Historical and modern interpretations of biological
evolution on the human experience will be developed. This will include legal, political, religious, scientific,
racist, sexist, philosophical and educational aspects. Topics will be covered via discussions, presentations,
papers and debates. Prerequisite: strongly recommend completion of core science requirement.
