Green Plant Morphology Group
We in the Green Plant Morphology Group are dedicated to enhancing knowledge on the structural diversity of early land plants. Our focus is to synthesize existing data and fill in the gaps in morphological, anatomical, and ultrastructural information on phylogenetically significant bryophytes pteridophytes. We strive to provide images that illustrate the unique innovations that have enabled these beautiful and intriguing plants to exist on land for millions of years. Together with our collaborators on the Green Tree Life Project, the Hornwort Project, and the Liverwart Tree of Life, our goal is to resolve the relationships among green plants and to bring to life the evolutionary events that led to the diversification of terrestrial plant life.
